On the beautiful coastal road 400 of Finike Kas after they come after Demre / Myra.In the Schwemmlandebene of Demre Cay is this place, in some cards even as Kale, dhBurg, called wird.Der place Demre is not just boring, but much to offer, he has just been nicht.Die Most visitors come for the famous Lycian rock tombs in Myra, and because of the hl.Nikolaus hierher.Man so has the impression of the place was only because many coaches and tourists but does durchzuschleussen.Man Demre a little wrong, because the place is quite quirlig. So there are now in the town some good restaurants in the middle, in which one very good and cheap restaurants.

Access to the cliff tombs in the town itself is well ausgeschildert.Auf a large parking their car, they can free parken.Durch the oblgatorische tourists mile and cash on the house they come to the rock tombs and graves röm.Theater.Die rocks are now locked, you may only on the terrain below the theater is still Gräber.Zum access gestattet.Es there is a new wooden staircase on the very conveniently in the theater kann.Für get interested, there is much to sehen.Wenn they have the good fortune in the theater with a Japanese Swabian accent sings Spanish songs, they have also an excellent impression of the acoustics in the theater.

The theater itself is only preserved as a single building, the rest of the city of Myra is partly under the rubble begraben.Gerade is being created to assemble the theater again, dhdas stage house is big again aufgebaut.Ein Crane disturbs the sight to the theater, but without it just nicht.Das stage house is only until 2.Stockwerk received and there will be some time before everything rebuilt his wird.Unterhalb ruins of the castle built in the hills are known as Felsengräber.Die graves are houses built around the deceased to give the feeling they were too Haus.Da left on a hill free-standing grave because even really looks like a house Lycian aus.Die beam structure truly is amazingly nachgemacht.Bei closely, they are also in the wider environment, many other tombs in entdecken.Eines the cliffs of the most beautiful tombs found in the so-called River Nekropole.Gehen they simply back into the village and turn left behind the school on an unpaved road ab.Es worth quite bestimmt.Hierher someone comes very rarely.

The city has temporarily by Myra Byzantine emperor even skin Lycian city have been appointed, that was 5.Jh.Für Myra in this period was an important time.

If they leave Demre in the direction of Kas errreichen after ca.4km Andriake.Unterhalb the coast road you can see remnants of this ancient port liegen.Im years 59n.Chr.ist here the Apostle Paul went ashore on the way to the beach Rom.Am numerous Sarcophagi and nearby buildings are still visible.

Left from the old port, you can bank on the street still many old warehouses sehen.Sehr impressive is the large grain storage, Granarium.Die facade is 65m long sein.Weite parts of the port today but versumpft.Wir want but also the church of St. Nicholas visit in the city center liegt.Westlich from the large main square is the Church, whose visit, however Admission kostet.Wem However, a glance over the fence enough, here is the famous statue of hl.Nikolaus sehen.Sie is beautiful here under the trees . In the church itself is actually not very much to the layman sehen.Selbst will notice the many styles vorherrschen.Jede time here renoviert.Einige beautiful frescoes and mosaics are on the ground and see the famous place of Bischofs.Es but up today is not proved, the Bishop Nicholas buried here located hat.Der Bishop Nicholas was for his generosity bekannt.Er distributed according to the tales anonymous gifts and charity to poor Menschen.Wie history knows, he let his gifts sometimes fall through the grate . Thus began the derWeg Nicholas up in our Zeit.Heute he owns Renntiere and red truck with neon.

I would now like to have a small outline of the history of ancient Lycia give.

They draw a line from Antayla to Fethiye, south of the entire peninsula, which was Lykien.Das mountainous hinterland was even then thinly besiedelt.Die coastal region on the other hand, was and is still very good besiedelt.Die Schwemmlandebenen the coast fruchtbar.Dieses is very even today everywhere in the many greenhouses to see.

The Lycian even developed its own script, which has not been correctly deciphered ist.Über 20 cities formed a community to freely choose their rulers were allowed.

Lycia was altersher always been a region that many other nations have been conquered.

6.Jh.v.Chr.eroberten the Persians in the area, followed by a period in which the region under the influence of Athens stand.Im 4.Jh.v.Chr.kam Alexander dGSpäter then, the region was a colony of Egyptian Reiches.Die then followed by the Romans and Egyptians Byzantinern.Schliesslich in 7.Jh.wurde the territory arabisch.Den Arabs followed the Seljuk and so was Lycia moslemisch.Bis today is to geblieben.Die beautiful remnants of the Lycian are precisely the time famous rock tombs, which they in the entire area exposed in many places can be found.

The big story – Lycian, Greeks, Romans – is always pulled over, no exciting ruins found in the bay. Adrasan has always been what it is today – an almost idyllic, peaceful place on earth, surrounded by mountains and pine forests, in the spring a paradise for botanists and the home of countless birds and frogs. Which have long been accustomed to small guesthouses and hotels, almost directly on the water and the colorful fishing boats, the last evening sunlight as unreal color in the crystal water swing.

The beach is sandy Adrasan of gravelly and goes up initially very flat into the sea. Because the bay is protected against currents, the water is warm very quickly – so ideal for children. For them there is room enough on the wide beach.

Idyll, romance, peace – and yet it is never boring in Adrasan. On the southern end of the bay, there are a multitude of small bars and even smaller shops. You can borrow surfboards or boat tours make. The north end is much quieter – here leads a small creek in which a handful of restaurants will flow. Eaten – specialty is fresh trout – is on wooden platforms, some tables and chairs are also easily in water.

Is a fascinating walk to the village three kilometers away Cavusköy. The village, which Lokantas and Cayhanes, the teahouses where the men with serious faces policy, the small mosque and the extremely friendly villagers, the shops in the village, all that is not only worth a visit. Who comes here as a guest, yet experienced what hospitality means. And the guest is then often also a friend. But there is more to see. The Suluada example, the Water Island, their source of fresh water will help against kidney stones. The boat tour is also worth but also for those who do not have kidney stones … And then, of course, also by boat to reach the Sazak Bay. There is a source of locals and the promise that who like this morning before breakfast drink, abruptly his digestive complaints was happening. Nebendran is equal Porto Ceneviz, once a notorious pirate bay. That there is still a pirate treasures to be discovered there, we do not want to promise.

It is a very popular holiday destination and the capital of this region. The area is because of its miles of sandy beaches estimated. The old town of Antalya is located for the most part on a steep coastline. The famous seaport located in the south of the city and adjacent to the long-Konyaalti beach. The city of Antalya was 158 BC by King Attalos II. Thus, she received the name Attaleia, which was later Antalya. The city of Antalya was successively by the Romans, the Byzantines and the Seljuk dominated. During the Byzantine period, the city of Antalya is a very important center for Christianity. After the Byzantine power had collapsed, so after 4 Crusade, there were the Knights Templar by the Romans with the city of Antalya belehnt. The confirmed both the papal legate, as well as Pope Innocent III. The city was actually owned by Aldobrandino. He is now in sources usually described as a privateer. It never succeeded him, his own dynasty justified. As Süleiman II.die besieged city of Antalya, Aldobrandino asked for assistance from Cyprus. Walter Montbéliard came to him with an army to help. How could he lift the siege again. The money for this war, he had, without further prompting the-throne treasury from the ward. He seems to be very fast in the Greek population of Antalya unpopular to have made. They rose up against him and called the Seljuk to help. One suspects that Walter had tried to take the place of Aldobrandinos to bring themselves to be rulers. So he tried it at a later date on the island of Rhodes. He proved as a newcomer from France, however, very little sensitivity. Later moved to the Sultan of rum Kaykhusraw in Antalya I. On. After he had mounted the throne (1210) negotiated with Hugo 1 Kaykhusraw 1st The trade agreement secured the future of the Cypriot selschukischen and traders in southern Anatolia. The Ottomans ruled the city until the 14th Century.

The city of Antalya today is the capital of the eponymous region. Since the year 1997, the Partnership for City of Nuremberg in Germany. From here, was also a tram cars over. The landmark of the city of Antalya is the minaret of the Yivli-Minare Mosque, located in the city center. It was the 13th Century by Sultan Kayqubad I. built. Meanwhile, the city of Antalya is a major tourist center. Nearby is also the Antalya Airport, as the focal point for tourists on the Turkish Riviera is. Here lie very close to the famous resorts Belek and Kemer. With a population census in 2000 the city had 606,500 residents of Antalya. It is the eighth largest city in Turkey. Here grow especially fruit and vegetables. The image of the landscape is heavily agricultural. Especially citrus fruits are grown here happy. It is expected here steadily rising numbers of visitors. This region is particularly so for Germans, Russians, Dutch and British popular.

According to a description of tourists is the Hadrianstor the only remaining gateway to the ancient city of Antalya as well as to the port. The wall then went right and left of the goal. This gate was in honor of a visit by Hadrian built. Only at 4 pedestals built with 3 decorated archways, can be found on the 2 sides do not lay down front. All in all, this object has less charm of a city gate. It more resembles the Roman triumphal arch. The 2 towers left and right are different. The left tower is reminiscent of the time of the Romans, the right recalls the time of Alaaddin Keykubat I. This gate was restored in 1959 quite burdensome.

The beautiful holiday centers such as Side, are also nearby. They have for the whole family is always just the right offer. The simplest give you an extensive overview of the rental car. This allows you to explore environs of Alanya. You can use the car at almost any point book.

In the town of Alanya himself fascinated here already some distance from the castle. It certainly worthwhile to visit this mountain. Enter eight points but you when you visit in the midday heat started running. The temperatures here in the summer very hot. And that is certainly no more fun. Even more had to unwary tourists from the local ambulance to be fetched. This is a real disgrace! For such an experience is the mountain and the beautiful view, you can enjoy up here, just much too nice. You better enjoy the wonderful view from the fortress. The numerous restaurants and cafes are particularly in the evening hours very popular. During the day you should look at the Kleopatrastrand visit. This name is because Cleopatra of her boyfriend this wonderful state got a gift. Their joy at that time must have been enormous. The beach is simply fantastic.

To take the time to sell is also worth a stroll through the market in Alanya. Every Friday found him right next to the bus station. It is advisable here to go the same morning. It is still cool and the goods are not already “aufgekocht.” A few Turkish words, you can not do any harm but you also find someone who understands German. Not to speak it with hands and feet. Fruit and vegetables you can find plenty here. Even cheese you can get. You get fish in the fish hall. Who likes in the confectionery, it should not be here in no case to hold back. The many small cakes and desserts taste just wonderful. The dentist will probably be the cold horror, as most Turkish desserts are made of sugar and sugar again. If you’re not so wild after his sweet, try it once at the bottom of the harbor. Besides the tattoo studio you will get probably the best doner kebab in the city. A small menu shows vividly (with photo) the delicacies that there are here. At the other end of the harbor to find the Simitworld. Simit are sesame squiggle, with all sorts of evidence can be and always wonderfully tasty. Try it just once. They are certainly enthusiastic. Besides the Simitworld find nice restaurants, on the water “swim”. Here is one way or the other hour on the evening certainly well spent.
